He wrote the books, or directed and wrote/co-wrote the screenplays for several of what have become late night standards on TV throughout the United States. The novel "Donovan's Brain" produced as the 1953 B/W movie(one of three movie versions: The Lady and the Monster-1944 and Vengeance-1962) has to be known to just about every TV junkie; sci-fi buff or no. "The Magnetic Monster"1953, a B/W flick Siodmak directed, and co-wrote the screenplay for, is a great example the using 'pure' science to provide the threat. Other efforts Kurt Siodmak had a hand in are "The Invisible Woman"-1940, and "The Invisible Man Returns"-1940.
